May 11 - My Kitchen

The kitchen is one of my favorite places to be.  Of course, I will complain about dishes and such, but I still enjoy it.  I love going into the kitchen and being able to whip up a yummy meal or, better yet, brushing up on my baking skills!  I love baking.  The Mr. loves to make fun of me because I have a cabinet dedicated to sprinkles, food coloring, sprinkles, decorating tips, sprinkles, cookie cutters, and did I mention more sprinkles? *Hi, my name is Deidre and I am a Sprinkle-aholic.*

Daily Routine

May 9 - Something I do everyday

There are several things that I do everyday:  brush teeth, bathe, laugh, cook, read emails, rot my mind on facebook, etc.  But there are a couple of things that I look forward to doing everyday. 

1.  Quiet time with My Savior.

Whether it be in prayer, reading my Bible,

or worshiping through song driving down the road,

I need this time alone with my Lord. 

2.  Kissing this face.

I know I'm a dork.

But I love my husband and I love giving him kisses.

Honeysuckle

May 8 - A Smell I Adore

I absolutely, positively love the smell of honeysuckle.  There is something about it that makes my heart smile when I catch a waft of the fragrant flower.  The sad part about loving honeysuckle is that it only blooms for a short period of time.  I have search far and near for a candle or something that smells like the real deal; however, I've yet to find one that meets my honeysuckle standards.  But I will continue on my search....

May 7 - Someone That Inspires Me

Oh my goodness.  I don't know that I can actually pinpoint a solitary person who inspires me.  There are so many people in my life who've inspired me in some way or another over the years.

Not that my sister hasn't been inspiring as well.....but Mom & Dad take the cake on this one.  My parents are devouted to God and to each other.  They work hard, give back, and love unconditionally regardless of whether they know you or not.  I am a better person becuase of them.  Love you!

Sorry, I missed yesterday's post....oops.

This is one of my favorite wedding photos.  It was taken by a friend/bridesmaid as I was waiting for the wedding to start.  I'm pretty sure I was fighting back tears at this point too...but then again, what bride isn't fighting back tears at some point?!?!

May 5 - Bird

While at the local nursery, I was checking out the hydrangeas and saw the branches shake a little.  I stood still and saw a little bird pop out of the cover of the blossoms.  It was the cutest little bird.

Something fun?  Oh, there are so many things in life that I believe are fun.  I couldn't decide on just one picture so I'm sharing three!

Being silly is always fun!  Being silly with friends is even better!

Something I Wore Today

May 3 - Something you wore today

This is one of my favorite necklaces for several reasons.  A couple very important reasons are: 

1)  It's Red!

2)  It makes a statement.

I purchased this necklace from Humanité last year.  I was recently in the store and I noticed that Erin had another one in stock...if anyone is wanting one!

I love living in the Appalachian Mountains.  I have the pleasure of enjoying both the Great Smoky Mountain Range as well as the Blue Ridge Mountain Range.

May 1st - Peace

The Mr and I went on a hike back last summer to Schoolhouse Falls in Cashiers, NC.  When we arrived at the falls, the view was breathtaking.  The falls were full due to the recent rains.  It was so peaceful sitting in the sun beside the falls taking it all in.
